Candelle x House of Neon

At Candelle, we are all about collaboration over competition. Yes there are a multitude of amazing candle brands on the market, all with their own unique style and fragrances and we salute them. Rather than focusing on competing, we focus on collaborating with like-minded brands and helping others grow by platforming them through our own brand.

One such brand is that of the amazing House of Neon. Owned by the super creative Maria Clay, the perfect synergy between Candelle and House of Neon made this collab a match made in insta heaven.

Maria is a handbag designer with a major love of all things Neon (we are right there with ya sista), so in August last year she launched House of Neon - a home decor range including pillows, prints and more and all with a 'pop of neon' included. To say we at Candelle HQ are OBSESSED is an understatement!

She recently credited Danielle for inspiring her to launch her brand on insta (@h_o_u_s_e_o_f_n_e_o_n_), which we loved and from there the idea to create an exclusive House of Neon x Candelle candle came about. We caught up with the lovely Maria on the collaboration...

Hi Maria! Tell us all about House of Neon?

I've always been a lover of neon and funky decor, even though you'll mostly see me in black! I do love a neon tube light and i wanted to work on a customised print brand that would would make it possible to have your name or quote in lights without the expense of being a neon lamp. Fill us in on your collaboration with Candelle and how it came about?

I started following Candelle on insta because like myself Danielle didn't hold back when it came to the quotes she's used on her candles and fragrance . I guess we both love a little swear word and naughty quote here and there, so it felt right to work on a collaboration with her. To collab with House OF neon you need to be brave and bold..... its a very in your face brand so with Candelle it was a no brainer. Where were you when you first clapped eyes on the Candelle & Co Fucking Fabulous candle?

On insta...... and I instantly loved it. I admired that Danielle was doing something different. There are so many candle brands out there, but she had the edge. Her photos and marketing were bang on and it felt newer to what other brands were offering at the time. What do you think makes Candelle stand out in the market?

They're funky, great gifts and they smell insane (they really do) Ive got the Oudh and Mango room spray its amazing. How did you go about selecting the fragrance for your candle?

The fragrance we use in the collaboration is really zesty and customers have even said if neon had a scent it would be this!! Obviously i left it to the expert (Danielle) and she selected the fragrance for the candle. She has done a marvellous job, and the candle has its own unique bright and energetic scent. What do your customers think?

My customers love it, having never offered a candle before within the House Of Neon range it was great to see them get excited for a new product. What does the future hold for House of Neon and where can we get our hands on your products?

The future is exciting, I'm looking at approaching some home decor boutiques to sell wholesale as currently i only sell online from my website and insta account. I'm currently working on some new and exciting prints, all of course with a flash of neon. So if your looking to perk up your walls with some new quirky off-beat art.....watch the space!
